Tips and Predictions as The German Bundesliga Starts Today with Monchengladbach vs Bayern

With the 2021/22 seasons of the  German Bundesliga set to commence today, our in-house punters have looked at the opening round of fixtures in the league to pick out the best games to look out for in each league.

BUNDESLIGA

Last season, Bayern Munich romped to the title, as usual, leaving other teams in their wake. Things have not gone to plan for the Bavarian giants as they performed poorly in their first preseason under 34-year-old manager Julian Nagelsmann. While they remain firm favourites for the title, they would be made to sweat and work for it while the team gets to really grasp the tactical aspects of the young manager’s game.

Borussia Dortmund are a team that can sneak in behind Bayern Munich and best them to the title in case of any slip-ups from the champions. After losing Jadon Sancho to Manchester United, Dortmund managed to keep hold of Erling Haaland, who has started the season with a hat trick in their DFB Pokal opener. The acquisition of Dutchman Donyell Malen would further spice up the Dortmund team and may prove vital to partly take the goalscoring load off Haaland.

RB Leipzig are another team that can challenge for the title, with their brilliantly structured setup and knack for sniffing out some of the best talents around. If the big two end up struggling at any point this season, it would not be much of a surprise to see Leipzig emerge victorious at the end of the season.

TITLE PREDICTION: Bayern Munich. We don’t see anyone overtaking Bayern Munich this season in the league. They have the quality and experience required to navigate a tough season ahead.
