The 125th French Open begins in earnest on Monday at Roland Garros in Paris. The legendary Roger Federer is favourite on the Parisian red clay, with Novak Djokovic and Dominic Thiem also in the running. They and the other contenders will have to adjust to strange circumstances when they take to the clay in front of a much smaller crowd of only 1,000 until the quarter-finals, when attendance caps will be raised slightly. The Coupe des Mousquetaires champion Federer will face stiff competition from the likes of Dominic Thiem and old rival Rafael Nadal, while Iga Swiatek is favourite to retain her title after winning it last year for the first Grand Slam of her career. Last year, the women’s doubles title was won by Timeas Babos and Kristina Mladenovic with Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Miesi taking home the men’s silverware. Latisha Chan and Ivan Dodig won the mixed doubles title. Check out below for NetBet’s latest odds on the French Open 2021.

French Open 2021 Betting Tips
Rafael Nadal is a heavy favourite to take home his 14th French Open title in the men’s division, and it’s for good reason. He’s gone an impressive 100-2 overall at the tournament throughout the years, and is expected to keep to his winning ways. However, he will be fought for that title by the top ranked player in the world Novak Djokovic, who is priced at 7/2, which would certainly be worth a look. It’d be a big shock if anyone else from the chasing pack can break away and become a serious contender, but tipsters are looking at Daniil Medvedev at 30/1 as a prospective outsider. It would be a famous tennis upset, but certainly stranger things have happened in the sport. Roger Federer is another big outsider who would be pulling off a historic underdog victory at 33/1, but fans know never to count out the 39-year-old Swiss player in major tournaments like this.
In the women’s game, Serena Williams is definitely worth a look at 20/1. She’s priced so wide because she hasn’t won a Grand Slam since 2017, but she is one of the greatest players the sport, male or female, has ever seen. Iga Swiatek is a 7/2 favourite to retain her title, with Ashleigh Barty second behind her at 5/1. We’d be surprised to see Swiatek get her trophy back, but it wouldn’t be a completely bizarre turn of events either. Aryna Sabalenka at 7/1 may find this tournament comes just a touch too early, but she could be a contender come Wimbledon, and there may be a strong showing from her this time around.
