Liverpool’s Shocking Loss at Villa; should The Reds be afraid?

The beautiful game of football has always brought shocking, stuttering and exciting moments to its fans, and will continue to bring such. A recent approval of the statement came on Sunday as Manchester United were mauled 1-6 at home against Tottenham Hotspur, as that looked like it was going to be a long weekend for United to handle the bants that would come in, Liverpool decided to walk alongside the red devils as they lost 7-2 away to Aston Villa at the Villa Park, a result 99% of football lovers never imagined.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United losing at home against Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham definitely before the game would have been predicted by at least 35% of betters around the world, but Liverpool losing scandalously in such manner, was no doubt bad business for bettors who had their stakes on Football Betting.

Only a minute percentage would have had an Aston Villa to win on their bet slips. Although Villa would have seen the performance of Leeds United against the reds in the opening week as a motivation, but putting 7 past the Liverpool’s goalkeeper surely wouldn’t have crossed the minds of The Villa team, and their fans.

With Aston Villa leading 4-1 at half time, courtesy a hat trick from Ollie Watkins and a goal from John Mc Ginn, many were still of the thoughts hat the marseysiders would do enough to get goals in the second half, to probably squeeze in a draw or eventually get a win, because it’s a Jurgen Klopp led side that has got the ability to.

However, Aston Villa had other ideas and scored 3 more goals in the second half to punish the reds

The defeat for Liverpool is going to raise lots of questions though, their ability to defend the title they won by a staggering 23 point would be discussed at length this season, and Jurgen Klopp has got a serious job to do if they stand any chance of defending the title, as he needs to address the defensive flaws of the team in which Jack Grealish and the rest of the villan attack of Aston Villa xposed.

In addendum, Klopp’s side are not known for missing too many chances, and suprisingly, they now look like a side finding it hard to get goals in their games this season, one of the areas Klopp might need to look into, if that would mean a thing.

Sunday’s result was obviously a shocker, but this is still Liverpool, the same red hot blazing reds and with the quality of new players added into the squad, it’s enough to send fear into the hearts of opposing teams. With the rest of the teams bearing it in mind that the same team won the League title last season by a staggering 99 points scoring 85 goals in the process, and also under Klopp’s tutelage, a man who’s never tired of winning, Liverpool supporters can sit and be assured that the title is still theirs to lose.
