Action on Matchday Five of the German Bundesliga season is set to take place following the midweek European adventures of several teams, including Bayern Munich, Wolfsburg, Borussia Dortmund, Union Berlin and Bayer Leverkusen.

Hoffenheim currently occupy seventh place on the log and would be looking to make the most of their “favourite” tag and win the match.

- Augsburg vs Borussia Monchengladbach: Struggling Augsburg will welcome Borussia Monchengladbach for their Bundesliga matchday five encounter. Monchengladbach won their first match of the season last weekend following a tough start to the season and now sit in 11th place on the log. Augsburg are second-bottom and winless in the league this season.

- Bayern Munich vs Bochum: After a flawless performance against FC Barcelona in the Champions League, Bayern Munich return to action against a Bochum side that has won only one of its matches this season. - Mainz vs Freiburg: Fourth takes on fifth when Mainz welcomes Freiburg for their matchday five encounter. The hosts have won three and lost just one of their opening four matches, and Freiburg are undefeated in the league so far this season. The home team are favourites to emerge victorious in the match.

- FC Koln vs RB Leipzig: RB Leipzig have had a tough start to the season under American manager Jesse Marsch, and would be looking to kickstart their season after an encouraging performance against Manchester City in Europe during the week. Their opponents are currently seventh in the league and have lost just once this season. Leipzig remain firm favourites to win the match.
