One of the world’s biggest derbies would be staged this weekend when the two Manchester clubs take center stage this Saturday.
The attention of all Sports lovers and Football betting fans would be on Manchester United after their shocking exit from the Champions League in the group stages.
This could be a ‘Manchester Derby’ like no other as it could be the game the spell the ending of Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who is under serious pressure.
But should the players turned up like the had done in many games where they needed to win to keep the Norwegian manager in job.
No doubt, both teams have strong squad after spending a combine fee of more than £1.6b on their players, it is a fact that some of them are world class.
But if we are to pick a starting XI from both teams which players would make the list?
GK: Ederson Santana de Moraes
Manchester City goalkeeper, Ederson Santana de Moraes, gets the nod over David de Gea. The Brazilian looks a lot more assure within the goalpost compared to his Spanish counterpart.
Few years back this would have been a David de Gea spot but the 29-year-old goalkeeper not the player he used to be as he makes too many mistakes and loses concentration in games.
RB: Aaron Wan Bissaka
Pep Guardiola has rotated different players in this position, it was Kyle Walker in some games and João Cancelo in other games while Manchester United have used mostly Aaron Wan Bissaka.
City’s Kyle Walker and João Cancelo are good players going forward but not as good defensively as Aaron Wan Bissaka.
Aaron Wan Bissaka gets the spot ahead of both players because he has now added making assists to his good defensive display.
LB: Alex Telles
If picked by his manager, the Brazilian easily is the best left back amongst other options from both clubs. Would not pick Luke Shaw, Benjamin Mendy, or Oleksandr Zinchenko over the former Porto left back.
CB: Rúben Dias
Easy choice over Manchester United’s Victor Lindelöf.
CB: Aymeric Laporte
The French man gets the spot over the most expensive defender Harry Maguire.
DMF: Rodri
Rodri gets picked over Fred, Nemanja Matic.
CM: Kevin De Bruyne
The best player in the league last season and one of the best in the world in the last few years.
He remains a top player always and his contribution to Manchester City t
AM: Bruno Fernandes
Every team would need a Bruno Fernandes in their team. Since the Portuguese moved to England no player has had more impact than him.
He has contributed more goals than any other players.
LWF: Mason Greenwood
If you are good enough, you are old enough. Greenwood over any player on the left side of the attack. The young English man is making name for himself as one of the best young players in the world at the moment.
RWF: Raheem Sterling
One of the best wingers in the world at the moment, it is so right to hand him a spot.
FW: Marcus Rashford
With Pep Guardiola confirming that Sergio Aguero who played for 25 minutes against Marseille and managed to score a goal within ten minutes of walking onto the pitch would not be starting.
“His instinct to score goals will always be there. The important thing is he made a good three or four training sessions and the reaction after the training session was good. He played 25 minutes and scored a goal and was active. Step by step. What is important is how his reaction will be tomorrow after this effort.”
Marcus Rashford takes the spot.
The match would be played at Old Trafford by 6:30pm.
