Peter Olayinka, Frank Onyeka, Sanusi Zaidu, Samuel Chukwueze, Kayode Olanreju and a few other Super Eagles stars would be in action when European club Competitions return this midweek.
Below are our top five fixtures involving Super Eagles stars.
5. Peter Olayinka (Slavia Prague v Nice)
Super Eagles striker Peter Olayinka would be looking to continue from where he left it off last week with a goal against Bayer Leverkusen.
Olayinka came on and scored the only goal of the game that earned Slavia Prague the victory at Sinobo Stadium last Thursday.
In fact, the 24-year-old was praised by his manager for his heroics in the game.
“I must say thanks to Peter Olayinka. Normally he would play in the starting eleven, but he wasn’t ready after his recovery from Covid,” Trpisovsky said in a post-match conference.
“He is the hero of the game for me, he sacrificed for the team, he came on the pitch to help us. We need players like him.”
Peter Olayinka who has now scored two goals in eight games for Slavia Prague would be hoping to add to his tally when they host Nice in a Europa League game on Thursday.
4. Frank Onyeka (FC Midtjylland v Ajax)
Super Eagles midfielder who is attracting interest from top European clubs would be hoping to shine again today when FC Midtjylland hosts Ajax at the MCH Arena.
The 22-year-old who has played in the two games FC Midtjylland have played so far in the Champions League is expected to start again today.
He would be hoping his side bounce back from their 0-4 and 2-0 defeats to Atalanta and Liverpool respectively.
3. Sanusi Zaidu (FC Porto vs Marseille)
This would be a tough game for Sanusi Zaidu and his teammates as they hope to add more points to their already won points.
Sanusi Zaidu is expected to start in this one after missing in Porto’s 3-2 shock loss to Pacos Ferreira due to suspension.
He would be proud of his contribution to Porto’s quest for another Champions League title and would be hoping to continue his fine form today.
2. Samuel Chukwueze (Villarreal v Maccabi Tel Aviv F.C.)
Fresh from scoring his first ever goal in 11-month in Villarreal’s 2-0 win against Real Valladolid on Monday, Samuel Chukwueze would be hoping to add more on Thursday.
The Nigerian winger who has recently been linked with move to top European Clubs like Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Leicester City will be in good spirit when Villarreal host Maccabi Tel Aviv F.C. at Estadio de la Ceramica.
1. Kayode Olanrewaju (Sivasspor v Qarabag FK)
Kayode Olanrewaju would be eyeing more history when he leads Sivasspor against Qarabag in a Europa League game on Thursday.
The Nigerian became the first person to score a goal for Sivasspor in the Europa league group stages when he scored his sides’s first goal in their 5-3 loss to Villarreal last week.
He would be banking on his wealth of experience which he has got from playing for FC Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League as he lead his team on Thursday.
Both teams are without a win having lost both of their first two games in the group.
These fixtures would give all passionate Super Eagles fans who engage in football betting to win big
