Club football is back after a weekend of International football that saw countries all over the world participated in different competitions.
It was World Cup qualifiers for South American countries, UEFA Nations League for European countries while African countries including Nigeria were involved in friendlies.
But this weekend club football would return and there are a few games to watch out for in England, Italy, Scotland, Germany and Spain.
Here are some of the games to watch out for this weekend
6. Sporting CP v FC Porto
The clash between two Primeira Liga giants is something to watch out for.
This Saturday Estadio Jose Alvalade is the venue for the Portuguese Classico.
Sporting CP go into the clash on the bounce of a 2-0 win in their last game while FC Porto lost 3-2 to Maritimo in the last game.
Both clubs have played 42 games against each other with Sporting CP winning 15, losing 18 and drawing 9.
5. Celtic v Rangers
It is the 421st clash between two of the Scottish League super powers. Rangers travel to Celtic Park with the hopes of extending their lead at the top with four points.
The clash between the two Glasgow based club popular called ‘Old Firm’ Derby is always one to watch out for.
Nigerians can look forward to this clash by 12:30 pm as one of Super Eagles players Leon Balogun would be involved.
4. Napoli vs Atalanta
For sure we would witness a tough and an entertaining match when this two file out on Saturday.
The free scoring Atalanta would be more than prepared for the clash against Gattuso Napoli.
Our own Victor Osimhen would be in action and could possibly open his serie A goal scoring account in this clash.
The game would be played on Saturday at 2 pm.
3. Inter Milan v Ac Milan
Last season Victor Moses was involved in this clash but would not be for obvious reason. Nonetheless, it wouldn’t stop it from being a top clash.
The Derby della Madonnina this Saturday would hold at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza by 5 pm.
At least two former Manchester United teammates would go head to head in frame of Romelu Lukaku and Zlatan Ibrahimovic while with the inclusion of Ashley Young it becomes three.
The game would definitely leave up to its expectations as both sides would be looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the new season.
AC Milan go into this clash with a perfect 3/3 record while Inter Milan have drop just two points from three games played so far.
2. Manchester City v Arsenal
In the past Arsenal would have been ruled out without kicking the football but there seems to be a strong belief amongst the Gunners now.
Mikel Arteta has bought back the winning sentiment the club has been missing for a while.
The clash is one to look out for as it is a battle between the apprentice Mikel Arteta and his master Pep Guardiola.
Manchester City would be hoping to bounce back from their embarrassing results against Leicester City and Leeds United in their last two games.
While Arsenal would be looking to continue their good run on Saturday at the Abu Dhabi Stadium by 5:30 pm.
1. Everton v Liverpool
The Merseyside Derby is always a tough fixture but with the form of the Blue Side of the Merseyside it is now much more interesting.
Everton are unbeaten in four Premier League games while Liverpool were battered by Aston Villa in their last game.
It has been a dream start to the season for Carlo Ancelotti and his boys who looked like a team to beat.
Liverpool played their 7-2 loss against Aston Villa without Saido Mane and Thiago Alcantara but both players would be available for the lunch time clash.
